GriefShare - Surviving the Holidays
When you’re grieving the death of a family member or friend, you may dread the holiday season. Thoughts of social gatherings, family traditions, and obligations leave you anxious and overwhelmed. Your sadness can seem unbearable. You may wish you could skip these next two months and go straight to the routine of the next year—but you can’t. What can you do to lessen your stress and loneliness? Join A GriefShare Surviving the Holiday seminar, held in person @ United Church. Surviving the Holidays is a warm, encouraging and helpful event. Featuring video instruction and group discussion, it helps you deal with the intense pain of grief during the holiday season.
Here’s what you’ll do during a Surviving the Holidays event:
- Watch a 45-minute video, filled with practical tips on how to survive the holidays
- Hear from others in your group who are dealing with grief this holiday season
- Have the opportunity to share how grief is affecting you (if you’d like)
