About Us

Our Sterling Ideas team provides expert managed IT services to local businesses. We manage and monitor all of your devices and networks, implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity and threat-hunting tools, provide both on-site and remote tech support (and it's always our team on the other end of the phone--no call centers or outsourced support!), consult with you when planning projects or anticipating growth, architect and test your data backup and recovery systems, and proactively manage your entire IT landscape so that you experience less downtime and security risks in your day-to-day work.

For businesses who have no on-staff IT personnel, we are your entire outsourced IT department, from the smallest printer error to the entire architecting and management of your networks and servers. For businesses who have IT staff but need help with network-level management, cybersecurity tooling and management, and consulting on larger projects, we offer Co-Managed IT Services (CoMITS).

Sterling Ideas was founded by Charles and JoAnn Gardner in Florida in 1999, and over the last 26+ years, has grown from a one-man operation to a team of 10+ employees. While our Florida team continues operating out of Clearwater, further growth brought Charles and JoAnn to Apex, where we now serve local NC businesses.
